Reliable for group tours

This was my third time booking with Explore, and they're consistently good. I did the Vietnam Adventure Tour this time, and just like my previous trips, everything was well-organized. The group size was manageable, and the guides were knowledgeable. It's why I keep coming back – I know what to expect. No surprises, which is what I want when planning a holiday. The only minor thing was that communication about the final itinerary took a few days longer than last time.

Fantastic Costa Rica trip!

I just got back from the Costa Rica Wildlife Tour and it was amazing! The amount of wildlife we saw was incredible. Every day was packed with cool stuff and the local guides were brilliant. I loved the small group dynamic; it made everything feel more personal. Booking was easy, and I got all my questions answered super quickly. I'm already eyeing my next trip with them – maybe the Galapagos! Definitely recommending them to my friends.

Good value for Jordan tour

I was looking for a budget-friendly trip and the Jordan Discovery Tour caught my eye. The price was really competitive, especially with the early bird discount I snagged. I felt like I got a lot for my money, considering everything that was included. The booking process was straightforward, and the savings made the whole experience feel worthwhile. Would definitely check them out again for future trips.

How do they compare to G Adventures or Intrepid? Looking at a few options for a Costa Rica trip and can't decide.

H Hannah P. 6 days ago
I've done trips with both Explore and G Adventures. Explore feels a bit more structured sometimes, maybe slightly older demographic, but still really authentic. G Adventures can be a bit more budget-focused for some itineraries. Both are good though.

Explore is solid, I think they focus a lot on local experiences. Intrepid is also great, sometimes a younger crowd. Depends what you're after. Explore usually has slightly smaller groups I think, which I prefer.

Has anyone used one of their promo codes before? Where exactly do you type it in when booking online?

L Linda E. 2 weeks ago
It's right at the very end, like just before you confirm payment. There's a box for 'promo code' or 'voucher code' there. Most of the discounts just apply automatically though, like early bird stuff.

Yeah, don't sweat it too much. If it's a general discount, it'll usually show up. If you have a specific code, final step. Can't miss it.

Are flights usually included with these tours or do you have to sort that out yourself?

S Sofia T. 3 weeks ago
From my experience, flights are usually extra. They'll tell you the start and end city, and you book your own. Makes it flexible for people coming from different places.

M Matt B. 3 weeks ago
Nah, flights aren't generally part of the base package. Sometimes they offer flight-inclusive options or can help arrange them, but expect to pay separately.

Does anyone know if they do special deals for people traveling alone? All the prices seem to be based on two people.

S Sean J. 4 weeks ago
They definitely do! I've seen 'solo traveler offers' mentioned before. Sometimes it's a reduced single supplement or specific departures for solos. Check their deals section.

B Barbara Lopez 4 weeks ago
Yep, they're pretty good for solo folks. I think they try to match you up to avoid the single room fee sometimes too, if you're open to it.

planning a big trip for next year, maybe a polar voyage. when's the best time to book to get a good price?

O Olivia Allen 1 month ago
Honestly, early bird is usually your best bet for those bigger trips. I've seen like 100-200 off if you snag it super early. Especially for something like a polar trip that fills up fast.

January/February can also be good, they often have sales then. And around Black Friday, but early bird is generally more reliable for specific trips.
